MANIFESTO — ART FOR THE LIVED LIFE
The Creative Arts — Cinema, Literature, Architecture, Theatre, Painting, Sculpture, & Music — enhance the human experience.
The Creative Arts empower us to communicate ideas, stories, perceptions, feelings, beauty, or atmosphere through the use of moving images, accompanied by sound & other sensory stimulations.
Literature is an art form with which we record, preserve, and transmit knowledge & entertainment. And the Creative Arts empower us to mature our current Alphabet — currently limited to the shape of sound — into a sensory language that we call AlphOmeg, designed interactively & democratically. It beautifies communication by adding to this sensory language new forms enhanced with light, colour & texture. We arrange sound to create combinations of form, rhythm, melody, harmony, etc. Thus, Lingua Franca gives way to the Sensua Franca, a journey from Representation to Illumination.
We use the Creative Arts to define our sense of space & place, and design the where & how as works of art.
To visualise height, width & depth as sculpted 3D visual forms. We create analog & digital theatres in which we communicate real or imagined events before live/digital audiences using live/digital performance, gesture, speech, song, music, & dance.
Elements of art, such as painted scenery and stagecraft such as lighting, are used to enhance the physicality, presence and immediacy of the experience.
The Creative Arts accelerate knowledge acquisition & creative ideation.
The Creative Arts, enabled by modern technology, brings together the minds of countless numbers of people into immersive & augmented experiences — a global meeting of minds to form a single shared mind to imagine & create a world in which we all wish to live. Real rather than artificial intelligence.
The Creative Arts, with modern technology, strips away the constraints of yesteryear, & places all knowledge at our disposal, so that the world’s knowledge becomes a Creative Arts Diary shared by all in a democratic, interactive, collaborative, real-time, 3D, immersive, multi-sensory, shared experience.
Museums, universities, galleries, libraries etc. are redefined.
I'm no longer just an Artist, but also Architect, Creative Director, Composer, Conductor, Modeler, Creator, Constructor, Artisan, Orchestrator, Poet, Painter, Sculptor, Editor, Entity & Systems Architect, Dramaturge etc.
STRICTLY BUSINESS — NO GAMES
Human computer interaction is in a state of liminality as we transition from the 2D interface graphic design to the multisensory interface made possible by RT3D (real time 3D) creation engines and the full range of Creative Arts. Systems Architects of the former paradigm need to transition to roles that resemble or at least combine with that of Composers. A whole new level of creativity is required because this goes far beyond simplistic gamification.
During a liminal period such as this we should anticipate disruptions to the existing order and the emergence of new systems, processes and practices.
Founder, Rogamur, is developing the Systems Café, a host of digital spaces supporting "A Meeting of Minds" comprising "Real Intelligence in the Xverse". It is underpinned by the home of the Deep, a reinterpretation of the BOOK, with disregard for its historical constraints, & augmented by creative arts and technology: the "Big Ocean Of Knowledge" (BOOK).
This deep ocean of knowledge enables you to know a little of everything, & to relate everything to anything and everything else, phenomenally impacting your ability to ideate. Embracing Augmented Reality enables us to enhance the experience of new learning spaces within lived spaces such as physical Systems Cafés (including their digital twins) because interaction with the real world and real people is important.
By leveraging the astounding ability humans have to examine and process 3D multisensory information quickly and efficiently, we aim to shorten the time & effort to transition information to knowledge, beautifying the journey by utilising the full range of Creative Arts, modern game/creation engines, new digital platforms (AR, VR, etc.), & by obviating the historical constraints of print & screen media.
Other services we provide include full systems lifecycle engagements to facilitate visual collaboration, uncovering purpose, & helping you to realise your vision through design and development.
A true marriage of τεχ (Art & Technology)
SO, WHY .ART
The .Art extension communicates the adoption of the new paradigm: the creative arts based applications.
The transition from Green Screens to Mac & Windows based interfaces in the mid-80s for Mac and mid-90s for Windows, signified a move to computing interfaces that gave the pleasure of interacting with colourful magazine type layouts. Now, 30 years later, the VFX industry in film making, and the incredible technologies developed by the Massively Multiplayer Online game developers, have given us a new set of tools to bring the entire Creative Arts to bear in providing any kind of interaction we can imagine.
Add to that new immersive platforms like Augmented & Virtual Reality, and we need a new domain extension to signify that we're a part of that.
